Osteopathy is a gentle form of manual therapy that restores your body’s ability to self-heal and self-regulate.
Osteopathic manual therapy views the body as a whole and aims to restore balance across all of the interconnected structures.
The goal of treatment is to remove restrictions in your tissues so that all the critical blood, nerve and lymphatic fluids can flow with more ease.
Treatments can help you with different structural and systemic issues including
joint stiffness
muscle aches
postural strain
digestive issues
circulatory issues
sleep issues
general stress
About Me
When a good friend/colleague asked me to be a ‘practice body’ for his studies in Osteopathic Manual Therapy it was the first time I had heard about Osteopathy. I was teaching yoga all around the City of Toronto at the time.
I immediately connected with the reverence for nature and trust in the body that is at the core of this health philosophy.
A few years later I decided to expand my knowledge and skill set by completing the rigorous 4 year program at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy.
Equipped with a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology, I use various therapeutic tools to help your body move better and thus help you feel better. Treatments work to liberate and support the self healing capabilities of your body.
By gently realigning structures, a foundation for your health is established and nature moves your body to optimal function.
My goal with my practice is to unburden people from pain and discomfort so they are free to be the best version of themselves for their family, friends and communities. I look forward to working with you!

Osteopathy is a completely natural health philosophy that was founded in the 1870s by Andrew Taylor Still in the midwest United States. After being gravely disappointed with the medical profession at the time, Still turned to nature for answers instead. He studied the intricate design of natural systems and the perfection to which the human body can function under the right conditions - those conditions being that in which all of the blood, nerve and lymphatic fluids in the body can flow without impediment. By improving these conditions, osteopathic manual therapy gets you closer to your ‘default’ setting - health.
Osteopathy is based on the principle that all dysfunction and disease in the body is due to a structural imbalance and/or restriction of motion and flow in the body. Treatments consider the interconnectedness of all the different layers of tissues in your body including the muscles, ligaments, fascia, bones, nerves, blood vessels and more. By liberating these tissues of any restrictions, the self healing and self regulating capabilities of the body take over and nature does the rest.

Each treatment is unique for each individual and each appointment. They typically last about 20-30 minutes depending on the needs that particular day. They begin with a health history review or update and a structural assessment followed by application of manual therapeutic treatment which can include the use of various tools like myofascial release and post isometric relaxation.
You stay fully clothed the whole time and may be put into a variety of positions like lying on your back, stomach or side on a comfortably padded table. Expect some gentle usage of your arms and legs to direct forces to different areas in these positions. Many people find treatment incredibly soothing and calming.

You stay fully clothed for treatments. Loose fitting or stretchy clothing is best - something that allows you to move easily and be comfortable.

While some people will feel benefits immediately after treatment, others may experience short term discomfort. Your body undergoes changes that will impact overall posture and usually takes 2-3 days post-treatment to integrate the adjustments. A degree of soreness like you’ve had a workout is common at this time and strenuous exercise and heavy lifting are not recommended.
